Prosiect Murlun Dinbych – dweud eich dweud. Denbigh Mural Project - have your say

Updated: Sep 29, 2020

Rydym yn cydweithredu â'r artist cerameg lleol Wendy Lawrence i greu murlun cymunedol gyda'ch help chi.

Yn ystod y cyfnod clo, rydym wedi wynebu newidiadau, heriau a chyfleoedd sylweddol i'n ffyrdd o fyw. Mae llawer ohonom wedi bod yn brysur yn clapio'r GIG, yn gwneud masgiau, yn danfon bwyd, ac yn edrych allan am ein gilydd.

Hoffem ddod at ein gilydd i greu murlun i ddathlu'r ardal hyfryd rydyn ni'n byw ynddi a'r bobl ysbrydoledig yn ein cymuned.

Rydym yn gofyn ichi gymryd rhan a chynhyrchu darn o waith celf heb fod yn fwy na maint A4 gan adlewyrchu'ch teimladau a'ch gweithgareddau yn ystod y cyfnod clo. Efallai ei fod yn ymgymryd â hobi newydd, garddio, ymarfer corff, darllen, ac ati - beth bynnag ydyw - mae arnom eich angen chi!

Ar ôl derbyn yr holl waith celf, bydd cyfle i ddod i chwarae gyda chlai a rhoi eich stamp ar ein murlun cymunedol mewn cyfres o weithdai clai.

Mae'r prosiect yn agored i bawb!

Bydd y gweithiau celf a'r murlun yn cael eu harddangos ac ar agor i'r cyhoedd eu gweld yng nghanol tref Dinbych (lleoliad i'w gadarnhau).

Os ydych yn dod o ardal Dinbych ac yr hoffech gymryd rhan fel y gallwch fynegi eich teimladau am effaith y pandemig Covid-19, byddem wrth ein bodd yn clywed gennych. Cysylltwch â ni i ddarganfod mwy.

"Trwy fyw, gwirfoddoli a gweithio yn yr ardal rwyf wedi cael fy ysbrydoli gan greadigrwydd a chyfeillgarwch y gymuned leol. Hoffwn ymuno â'r mudiad i wneud cyfraniad cadarnhaol a sbarduno newid ar gyfer y bobl sy'n byw ac yn gweithio yma. Gwnaeth hyn fy ysgogi i sefydlu Y Tŷ Gwyrdd, menter gymdeithasol newydd yn Ninbych. Rwy'n edrych ymlaen at ein prosiect cyntaf yn gweithio gyda'r gymuned leol i greu'r murlun hwn, etifeddiaeth o'r cyfnod heriol hwn i adlewyrchu'r pethau da a’r pethau drwg, ac edrychaf ymlaen at ddyfodol mwy disglair," meddai Marguerite, Sylfaenydd Y Tŷ Gwyrdd.

Mae Wendy wedi bod yn gweithio gyda chlai ers dros ugain mlynedd ac yn cynnal gweithdai penwythnos o'i chartref yn Ninbych. "Mae clai wedi ac yn parhau i agor cymaint o gyfleoedd i gynifer o bobl, rwy'n mwynhau rhannu'r deunydd cyffrous hwn," esboniodd Wendy. Os hoffech chi weld rhai o'i darnau anarferol a syfrdanol neu efallai roi cynnig ar greu darn, ewch i wefan Wendy.

We are collaborating with local ceramics artist Wendy Lawrence to create a community mural with your help.

During the period of lockdown we have faced significant lifestyle changes, challenges and opportunities. Many of us have been busy clapping the NHS, making scrubs, delivering food, and looking out for one another.

We’d like to come together to create a mural to celebrate the wonderful area we live in and the inspiring people in our community.

We are asking you to get involved and produce a piece of artwork no bigger than A4 reflecting your feelings and activities during lockdown. It might be taking up a new hobby, gardening, exercise, reading, etc. – whatever it is – we need you!

Once all the artwork has been received, there will be an opportunity to come and play with clay and put your stamp on our community mural in a series of clay workshops.

The project is open to all!

The artworks and mural will be displayed and open for the public to view in Denbigh Town Centre (venue to be confirmed).

If you are from the Denbigh area and would like to get involved so that you can express your feelings about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch to find out more.

"Through living, volunteering, and working in the area I have been inspired by the creativity and friendliness of the local community. I would like to join the movement in making a positive contribution and driving change for the people that live and work here. This motivated me to establish Y Tŷ Gwyrdd, a new social enterprise in Denbigh. I am looking forward to our first project working with the local community to create this mural, a legacy of this challenging period to reflect the ups and downs, and look forward to a brighter future," said Marguerite, Founder of Y Tŷ Gwyrdd.

Wendy has been working with clay for over twenty years and runs weekend workshops from her home in Denbigh. "Clay has and still continues to open up so many opportunities for so many people, I enjoy sharing this exciting material," explained Wendy. If you'd like to see some of her unusual and stunning pieces or perhaps try your hand at creating a piece take a look at Wendy's website.
